If you like science fiction/fantasy that takes place in Victorian England(steampunk genre), you will love Arthur Slade's new series.
Book 1: The Hunchback Assignments
When Mr. Socrates, a member of the shadowy Permanent Association, hears of a hunchbacked infant with the ability to transform his appearance, he decides to take him in. Naming him Modo, he raises the boy in isolation, training him to become a secret agent.
When Modo turns fourteen, his education is complete. He must first survive in London on his own, then, with the help of beautiful Octavia, he uncovers a sinister plot being carried out in the very sewers beneath London.
Will they be able to stop the mad scientist Dr. Hyde and his even more terrifying associates before they unleash their monstrous plans upon unsuspecting Londoners?

If you liked the Guardians of Ga'hoole series, the Wolves of Beyond takes you back to the same world.

The owl wars are over. The wolf pack awaits.
In the harsh wilderness beyond the owl world of Ga’Hoole, a wolf mother hides in fear. Her newborn pup, otherwise healthy, has a twisted paw. The mother knows the rigid rules of her kind. The pack cannot have weakness. Her pup must be abandoned in the forest to die. But alone in the woods, the pup, Faolan, does the unthinkable. He survives. This is Faolan’s story, the story of a courageous young wolf who rises up to change forever the wolves of the Beyond.

A Great and Terrible Beauty book trailer

Raven Tales graphic novels are based on the TV shows of the same name. They come with great graphics and exciting stories from many different North American aboriginal groups. The Lansdowne library have the 14 books (from the series) that focus on our local First Nations.

The last series of books I recommend are the Campfire Classics. They are pieces of classic literature put in to beautifully illustrated graphic novels. We have the following:
Oliver Twist
The War of the Worlds
Romeo and Juliet
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Call of the Wild
Guilliver's Travels
Moby Dick
