Wow Again!!

Ok, I have been neglegecting my blog! It's been over a month since I have posted anything! It's nice to be back.

So, what's happening in the library?

Ms O'Connor had her grade 8 Science fair projects displayed in the library.It was a busy place with other classes coming down to check out the science fair.

Ms Kilpatrick's class is still working on their research mind maps. The students are working on categorizing their facts, and making and explaining their connections. They will also be looking at how to display the facts in a more visual way. The process is long, but well worth it as students are starting to put all they have learned together. I am excited to see the final products.

Ms Hendra's class will be starting the mind map research project in a couple of weeks as well.

Ms Robert's mini ex class and Ms Kilpatrick's English class will be starting digital story telling next week. Students will take a memoir or "story" they have written and put it into digital form. This is done by combining recorded voice, still images, and music or other sounds.

Its great to see so many individual students and classes in the library.
